Living with my laughter lines
October 4, 2016
I had some time to kill before having a hearing test at Boots on Oxford Street (good news, I'm not going deaf but my Eustachian tube might be blocked) so I had a wander around St Christopher's Place. Although I tried to resist, a charming - and persistent - salesman got me into his shop to try some face creams and a deep wrinkling tightening serum (I was clearly looking a bit rough). And I have to say that the lines around my mouth and the wrinkles around my eyes did sort of disappear. It was as if my skin had plumped up. Quite impressive to be honest. But ... are you sitting down? ... at over £300 for a tube of the deep wrinkling tightening serum and another £300+ for a pot of the face mask, I think I'll have to live with my laughter lines - and use my free Vitamin C booster sample sparingly!
I grew up in Brazil and went to University in the States. I got my big break on the Big Breakfast in 1993 and went on to series produce Changing Rooms, Ready Steady Cook and Don’t Get Done Get Dom for BBC1. I developed, helped launch & headed up digital and mobile TV channels (London TV for Visit London and Today on 3 Live for 3 mobile) and produced shows ranging from Topless Darts to Fate & Fortune for L!VETV. In 2008 I set up findaTVexpert.com, an online database of experts for the media. After eight successful years I decided to close it. I'm now figuring out what to do next and enjoying long weekends with my husband on our barge on the Thames.
